Man Chases Employees With Knife, Injures 1: Police

He got into a physical altercation with apartment staff, police said.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Southold man was arrested after he chased after employees with a knife, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place Wednesday at 2:37 p.m. on Main Bayview Road.

Ross Krieger, 22, was detained by the home's staff after police arrived; an investigation revealed that Krieger had gotten into a physical altercation with apartment staff, police said.

The dispute led to Krieger swinging a knife at a staff member, resulting in a laceration to the left index finger, police said.

Krieger was placed under arrest and charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon; second-degree menacing with a weapon; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, intent to use, police said.

Krieger was transported to Southold Town Police headquarters for processing, police said.
