Man Crashes Into Dump Truck, Charged With DWI: Cops

The crash took place in Cutchogue, police say.

NEW SUFFOLK, NY — A New Suffolk man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a dump truck, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Jonathan Goell, 61, was arrested on Dec. 5 at 12:43 p.m. on New Suffolk Rd. and charged with aggravated DWI: per se/no prior and driving while intoxicated, first offense.

Goell was involved in a crash with a parked dump truck and found to be intoxicated, police said. Goell was placed under arrest, transported to Southold police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
