Man Drove While Impaired By Drugs On North Fork: Police
He was found on Rt. 48 in possession of marijuana and concentrated cannabis, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Huntington Station man was caught driving while impaired by drugs in Cutchogue, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, John Vanderschuyt, 24, was arrested on Oct. 14 at 9:48 a.m. on Route 48 and charged with first degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and moving from lane unsafely, police said.
Vanderschuyt was driving a Black Ford Ranger east on Route 48 when he was stopped for failing to maintain his lane of travel; Vanderschuyt was determined to be impaired by drugs and placed under arrest, police said.

Vanderschuyt was also found to be in possession of quantities of marijuana and concentrated cannabis, police said.
Vanderschuyt was transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, where he was processed and held to await arraignment, police said.
