Man Injured In Greenport Motorcycle Crash: Police
The crash took place Monday afternoon in Greenport, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Shelter Island man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Greenport Monday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Front and Fifth Streets. Semaj Lawrence, 24, was driving a 2022 Suzuki motorcycle east on Front Street when he struck a 2014 Jeep Liberty driven by Elizabeth Allen, 82, of Greenport Village, who was heading west on Front Street and attempting to make a left turn, south, onto Fifth Street, police said.
Lawrence was treated by Greenport Fire Department rescue and a Stony Brook University Hospital paramedic first responder; he was then taken by Greenport Fire Department rescue to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
