Man Under Influence Of Drugs Outside 7-Eleven: Cops
He had a glass pipe containing a white powdery substance, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A Jamesport man was arrested after he appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the Mattituck 7-Eleven, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the man, 46, was arrested on Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. at the 7-Eleven Mattituck and charged with appearance in public under the influence of narcotics or a drug other than alcohol, a violation.
Officers responded to the Mattituck 7-11 to check on a man who had reportedly been acting strangely and sitting in his car for a long period of time, police said.

Officers arrived and observed the man stumbling around outside of his vehicle attempting to put his jacket on; he was lethargic, dazed and slurring his speech, police said.
During the investigation, the man fled the scene on foot, police said.

Officers pursued him and he was apprehended behind the 7-11, police said
