THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG is an OLIVIER-AWARD-Winner that is currently Off-Broadway.

"Welcome to opening night of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a Broadway show—a ramshackle set, a leading lady with a concussion, and a corpse that can’t play dead. It’s a classic murder mystery… and it’s a mystery how it ever got to Broadway!"

This Olivier Award-winning comedy that was direct from London’s West End was brought by the producer of Avenue Q and Something Rotten! along with film producer J.J. Abrams (Lost, Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
TONY AWARD WINNER KEN DAVENPORT was one of the Broadway Lyceum Theatre production THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG producers.

The Broadway THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG received a 2017 TONY AWARD for Best Set Design, a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Best Play, and the Theater Fans Choice Award for Best Play. That Broadway-version concluded its run on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at The Lyceum Theatre. Southold Drama Club's THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG High School Edition gets a "Reviewing of the Situation" as a tribute write here by me. Bob Stanonis -{&}- I attended the closing performance of the Sunday, March 12th, 2023 matinee of the Southold Drama Club's play-within-a-play titled THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG.
Typically, the Southold Drama Club presents musicals. This season marked the Club's first play. The Southold Drama Club YET AGAIN {yes, caps, for emphasis} exchanged tremendous-overall-ABilities. ~ AND WHO KNOWS... Riverhead, New York's EAST END ARTS COUNCIL annually presents its TEENY AWARDS every June as judges of local high school productions have gathered their views and voting upon possible forthcoming TEENY AWARDS WINNERS.
We were attending "The Cornley Drama Society proudly presents The Murder At Haversham Manor" on this final Southold Drama Club's March 2023 {matinee} performance. The performers kept-up-their-pace maintaining their English accents. It was something not-to-be-missed.
