Within the second paragraph of the ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS on page 285 in Mark Korpi’s latest historical novel titled “THE LADY LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER,” which is a discussion of Southold Lighthouse Keeper Stella Prince, it reads -&- I PROUDly quote:

“My fellow docents urged me to contact Dan McCarthy, a Southold library researcher, for more information about Stella. He became my go-to guy for the historical detail that is the backbone of my book. Dan located obituaries and newspaper stories that included engaging tidbits such as Stella making the honor roll, traveling, and significant events in the family. Dan found it all! I owe a deep debt to his skill and persistence.”
