'Meet The Creatives' Podcast Event Set For Sound View
The event is free to the public and will feature 5 live podcasts.

GREENPORT, NY — A new day of artistic exploration is dawning at Sound View in Greenport.
Sound View announced recently that it's teaming up with Meet The Creatives, a podcast that seeks to bring "entry-level creatives and the industry’s best" together to host a 3-day event "that inspires thought leadership and creativity."
"Meet The Creatives Live at Sound View” is set to unfold on Friday, Feb. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 11 and is free to the public, featuring 5 live podcasts and Q & A sessions with top designers, artists and photographers.

Guests of the event are invited to listen, stay for a meal and live music, and "mingle with some of the country’s top creative minds", organizers said.
Those traveling from out of town are offered a 20% discount; guests are invited to join for welcome cocktails, lunch and dinner, with all food and beverage offered a la carte. Reservations are suggested and can be made by clicking here.

Sound View is also offering a new discounted rate for "creatives looking for a midweek retreat," a release said.
The $75/night rate is available Sunday to Thursday using code FNFM through March 31.
Offerings at Sound View include Chef’s Table demonstrations with Chef Galen Zamarra, an artist-in-residency and performance partnership with Joe’s Pub in New York City, and the creative events for photographers and artists
The agenda for the "Meet the Creatives" event includes a weekend of "thought leadership" with MTC founder Rob Johnston, and featured guests Juan Carlos Pagan, Ahmed Klink, Jessica Lomasson, Jon Contino and Erik Warner.
Following is a schedule for the 3-day weekend:
Friday, Feb. 9
6 p.m.: Podcast and live Q&A: Juan Carlos Pagan, “Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable,” a discussion exploring the boundaries of design and typography.
9 p.m.: Piano var performance by Trevor Davison
Saturday, Feb. 10
9 a.m.: Coffee Town Hall: a casual meet and greet with group discussion
11 a.m.: Podcast and live Q&A: Ahmed Klink, “Shoot What You Love,” a discussion on how Klink's love of photography turned into a career in advertising, celebrity portraiture and music photography.
4 p.m.: Podcast and live Q&A: Jessica Lomasson, “The Offline Application,” a discussion on how to show your value and opting to go offline.
6 p.m.: Podcast and live Q&A: Jon Contino, “There is No Off,” a discussion on "how following your passion takes constant effort and humility."
9:30 p.m.: DJ in Piano Bar
Sunday, Feb. 11
10 a.m.: Podcast and live Q&A: Erik Warner, “How Creative Vision Starts with a Passion for Location and Community”
Meet The Creatives, hosted by Rob Johnston, is a podcast that "features useful advice from leading creative minds at companies like Google, Facebook, Nike, Airbnb and more," organizers said. "The podcast has over 100,000 downloads in over 60 countries creating a virtual meeting space for the global creative community."
