More Than 6.6K Residents Without Power On LI Tuesday Morning After Fierce Winds, Rain
Thousands were left without power across Long Island Tuesday morning after Monday night's high winds and rain.
LONG ISLAND, NY — Monday night's fierce winds and rain left thousands without power Tuesday morning.
According to the PSEG Long Island power outage map, as of 10:15 a.m., 6,637 remained without power.
"As of 10 a.m., PSEG Long Island has restored nearly 77 percent of the customers affected by the high winds and rain that passed through the service area overnight," PSEG Long Island said in a statement.

"Crews are working safely and as quickly as possible to restore the remaining customers. We expect all customers affected yesterday or overnight to be restored by the end of the day," officials added.
