Motorcyclist Charged With Driving Under Influence After Crash: Police
He was arrested Thursday night, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — A Southold motorcyclist was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash Thursday night, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 7:56 p.m. on Oaklawn Avenue near New York State Route 25. Fredrick Callis, 65, was involved in a single-motor vehicle crash on a black 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle, police said.
Callis was checked for injuries by the Southold Fire Department and refused further medical attention, police said. Callis was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest, police said.
