PECONIC, NY — Once again, Southold Town residents will gather on the most somber of days to remember lives lost on 9/11.

The town's 9/11 committee, together with the Southold Town Fire Chiefs Council, will participate in a remembrance ceremony at Jean Cochran Park on Wednesday to honor the fallen.

"Never Forget!" has long been the mantra of the event; prior to the ceremony, participants are invited to place 2,977 flags, each representing a life lost on 9/11.
