New Eatery, East On Main, Opens In Mattituck

The "farm country grill room and nautical tavern" has home-cooked meals "stolen right from Mom's kitchen" and a country music blitz Friday.

MATTITUCK, NY — Locals were heading happily into a brand-new eatery in Mattituck Friday as East On Main celebrated its grand opening.

Owners Tony Piraino and Vincent Palma unveiled the new restaurant, a "farm country grill room and nautical tavern" that features home-cooked meals "stolen right from Mom's kitchen."

Located at 10560 Main Road at the site of the former Four Doors Down, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as late night noshing.

Opening night includes a "My Country Ticket Blitz 96.1," which has North Fork country music fans delighted.

The eatery, which goes by the motto, "Eat Like A Farmer, Drink Like A Sailor" also features a host of football and happy hour specials on various days of the week, brunch, music, pool, dancing, and a private room for functions.

The vision for the eatery is "comfort food with a twist," including mouthwatering fried chicken, pot pies, lasagna and desserts offering such strawberry shortcake and fried Twinkies.
