New Rain In The Forecast For Saturday Across Long Island: NWS
Don't put away the umbrellas just yet.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Wednesday's deluge has tapered off across Long Island, with just a drizzle remaining on the East End Thursday morning — but there could be rain ahead for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Bill Goodman, meteorologist with the NWS office in Upton, said the remainder of Thursday and Friday are expected to be dry across Long Island.
Saturday morning brings the chance of rain, with a higher probability of soggy skies across Nassau County and western Suffolk and less rain on the East End, he said; another inch of rain is expected Saturday afternoon and into the evening and Sunday morning.

Rain is expected to taper off Sunday morning, he said.
Temperatures on Thursday and Friday are expected to hover in the high to upper 40s on the East End, and in the lower 50s for the rest of Long Island. On Saturday, cooler temps will move in, with highs in the upper 40s islandwide, before rising to the lower 50s across Long Island Sunday, Goodman said.
