New Suffolk School District Announces Plans to Hire New Superintendent

The district announced they will be hiring a former superintendent from the Southold School District.

New Suffolk School District announced that they plan to hire former Southold School District superintendent Christopher Gallagher to be the district’s new superintendent, according to a report in The Suffolk Times.

Although Gallagher retired as Southold School District’s superintendent in 2008, he says he is ‘looking forward to working with teachers again’, according to the report.

“In my view, improving the teaching-learning experience never stops, whether you’re fresh out of college or have 30 years under your belt,” he told The Suffolk Times. “There’s always ways to improve. I find that very rewarding.”
