New Universal Pre-K Coming To Cutchogue East
Here's how to enter a lottery for the chance to sign your kids up free.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A new universal Pre-Kindergarten program is coming to Cutchogue East Elementary School
The Mattituck-Cutchogue School District, in cooperation with Just Kids, will provide a universal Pre-K at the Cutchogue East Elementary School for the 2022 to 2023 school year, the district said.
It is anticipated that the program will service 27 students at no charge to the families, the district added. Eligibility for the program is as follows:

• Applicants must be a Mattituck-Cutchogue UFSD resident and provide a copy of proof of residency.
• Applicants must be 4 years old by Dec. 1, 2022 (born between Dec. 2, 2017 to Dec. 1, 2018).
• A copy of the child’s birth certificate must accompany the application.
• Applicants must be first eligible to attend kindergarten in September 2023.
Application forms have been mailed to district residents. Parents who did not receive an application in the mail can visit the district’s here to print out an application in English and Spanish, or contact Lisa Bieber at 631-298-4242 ext. 3101.

The Just Kids Pre-K program openings are limited to 36 students; 27 students for the program, at no charge to the family, will be selected via lottery on Tuesday, May 10 at 10 a.m. Completed applications must be returned to the Mattituck-Cutchogue District Office by Thursday, May 5.
