NoFo Runners Raise Funds For Boston
A group of runners raised just under $1000 to help the victims of this week's Boston tragedies.

Despite soggy skies, a team of dedicated runners came together Saturday to raise funds for the victims of the recent Boston tragedies.
Members of the local running group, NoFo Runners, took part in a three-mile walk/run to support the victims of the Boston explosions Saturday. Walking was encouraged. There was no entry fee, but donations were accepted to go to The One Fund or The Richard Family Fund, which is benefitting the family of Matin Richard, an eight-year-old boy who was killed last Monday's attack.
NoFo Runners member Jim Underwood said the group raised just under $1,000. "The weather hurt us a little," he said. "But it was fun."
On the group's Facebook page, Underwood told members donations were still needed.
The aim of the event was to help raise funds for Boston after the week's tragedies, Underwood said.
"At first it was simply to bring the members of our group together to do a little something we enjoy doing in light of this horrible event," he said.
Boston was struck by tragedy on Monday when two explosions rocked the finish line, killing three and injuring scores.
