North Fork 'Becoming Brooklyn Of Long Island,' Eater NY Says
The author of an Eater NY post says the North Fork is "much more Williamsburg and Park Slope than Flatbush or Bay Ridge."

NORTH FORK, NY — Strolling along the Sound at sunset, or driving past acres of bucolic preserved lush farmland on the North Fork, Brooklyn isn't the first place that comes to mind for many.
But others beg to differ.
A recent column, "Road Trip Week," on Eater NY says the "North Fork is Becoming the Brooklyn Of Long Island."

In the post, the author, Robert Sietsema, heads east for a whirlwind tour of the North Fork, stopping for tastes at a wide array of eateries and wineries, including North Fork Roasting Co., where, he said, "the coffee is every bit as good as anything found in Brooklyn."
Next, he heads to Wednesday's Table, where owner Lena Tanzi divides her time between Brooklyn and Southold.

Other stops included Croteaux Vineyards, the Silver Sands, Kontokosta Winery, Noah's, Brix & Rye, and Little Creek Oyster Farm in Greenport, Four & Twenty Blackbirds in Orient, as well as Sang Lee Farms in Peconic and Lombardi's Love Lane Market, Goodfood and Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck.
After the self-guided foodie tour of the North Fork, the Eater NY post concluded, "We might as well have been dining in Brooklyn, my friend and I agreed as we exited, munching. But we also acknowledged it was a very narrow idea of Brooklyn we’d found in the North Fork, much more Williamsburg and Park Slope than Flatbush or Bay Ridge."
What do you think? Do you think the North Fork's emergence as a culinary destination can compare the area to Brooklyn?
