Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. Celebrates 13 Years With Anniversary Beer

NORTH FORK, NY — The Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. has reached a milestone anniversary — and is celebrating with a new beer.

A 13th anniversary bash will be held Saturday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the brewery's Peconic location at 42155 Main Road in Peconic.

"As the very first craft brewery to open on the North Fork, we are feeling incredibly lucky and grateful for all our customers, family and friends for helping us get to 13," owners said. "We can’t imagine a better a place to reside than here.'

The event includes the launch of a new anniversary beer, "Anniversary 13: Blended Barrel Aged Saison," plus music by The Realm from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., pop-ups by local artists and artisans, henna tattoos, hula hooping, a vintage Good Humor ice cream truck, a menu by Chef Ling, along with other surprises.

The beer marks a "a celebration of 13 years of big dreams, collaboration and community," a description reads. "A blend that highlights many facets of who and what we are. Various threads of some of our favorite core offerings, brewed in Peconic, cellared in Greenport in seasoned red wine barrels provided by our friends down the street, shepherded along by our team on a journey that started long before the first drop of beer was ever brewed. Canned without any additional fermentables to capture this fleeting moment in time."

The beer features a 7.5 percent alcohol by volume, or ABV.
