When I was a teenager residing in Jamaica Estates (Queens, New York), I won a WNEW radio station contest where I received two dugout seats for a METS game at Shea Stadium -{&}- had the offer to throw-out the first ball to Catcher John Stearns, who caught the pitch. My dad -{&}- I attended many METS games at Shea Stadium besides tuning-in on Channel 9. We got such a boost attending the game where John Stearns was catcher. I am still an underdog Mets fan. As a matter of fact, I now wear a METS cap carrying the NY logo cap I purchased from amazon.com
