Obituary: Edward V. Kramer Jr., of Southold, Dies at 79

Services: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on 52125 Main Road (NYS Route 25) in Southold. Interment, with US Air Force honors, will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery on 3494 Depot Lane in Cutchogue.
Donations: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Edward V. Kramer, Jr. may be made to the Air Force Assistance Fund,550 C Street West, JBSA-Randolph, TX 78150 or the Southold Fire Department Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1469, Southold, New York 11971.

Obituary: Edward V. Kramer Jr., 79, of Southold, passed away on Thursday March 5, 2015. Kramer was born in Greenport to Benedicta and Edward Sr. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, and served as an air traffic controller. Later he worked at Plum Island as a laboratory technician which he enjoyed for over 60 years. He married Alice Droskoski in 1958 and together they settled in Greenport before building their own home in Southold where they raised their family of four. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Alice; son Edward Kramer III of Belleville, IL; daughter Kris Brown and her husband Keith of Salisbury, MD; daughter Sharon Kramer of Southold; and daughter Susan Vogel and her husband Doug of Wayne, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sabrina, Dominic, Sean, Amanda, Carley, Jacob, Noah, Emily and Faith and his great-grandchildren Gabbi, Alex and Lucas and his brothers John and Philip, sister-in-law Irene, and many nieces and nephews.
