Obituary: Laura M. Kennedy, of Cutchogue, Dies at 67

Laura M. Kennedy, of Cutchogue, died on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at Peconic Bay Medical Center after an illness of five years. She was 67.

She was born in Brooklyn, on May 23, 1948 to Daniel and Norma (Mirabito) Conners.

She was a graduate of New York Institute of Technology.

On July 26, 1970, she married Thomas Kennedy and together they made their home in Cutchogue for the past nine years.

Kennedy was active in the Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue; a horse rescue fund based in Southampton.

In addition to her husband; Kennedy is survived by her son, Geoffrey Kennedy; her brother Daniel Conners and her sister Kelly Brunsen.

The family received friends on September 26 and September 27 at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck where Deacon Jeff Sykes held prayer services.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on September 28 at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church by Monsignor Joseph W. Staudt.

Interment was in Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
