Obituary: Nancy C. Purcell, of Southold, Dies at 66

Nancy C. Purcell, of Southold, died on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. She was 66.

Purcell was born in Greenport on July 30, 1949 to Claire (nee Drumm) and Gerard F. Purchell.

She is a graduate of Southold High School and Morrisville College.

She had been a Health Aide with Comfort Keepers in Riverhead, New York.

Purcell was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Keith.

She is survived by siblings, Susan of Southold, Bernard (Diane) of Greenport and Ellen Weygandt of New Jersey, her nieces and nephews, Ryan, Brendan, Chelsa, Rachel, Joelene and Troy and her great nieces and nephews, Shawn, Grace and Colt.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold.

Words of remembrance will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.
