SOUTHOLD, NY — A huge crowd lined Main Road in Southold under bright blue, sunny skies Thursday, bedecked in red, white and blue hats and attire — even dog and ponies put on their patriotic garb for the fun — to cheer on the annual Southold Village Merchants' Fourth of July parade.

The annual event is a beloved tradition for all, with families, residents and visitors savoring the very best of small-town life and hometown pride.
