Peconic Landing, Eastern Long Island Hospital to Host Open Forum

Peconic Landing and Eastern Long Island Hospital will be hosting an open forum, ‘Transforming Healthcare’ on Tuesday.

The event will take place at the community center on 1500 Brecknock Road in Greenport starting at 7 p.m.

The forum, which will be presented by L. Reuven Pasternak, MD, MPH, MBA, CEO of Stony Brook University Hospital; Paul J. Connor III, President/CEO of Eastern Long Island Hospital; and Thomas E. Murray Jr., Chairman, Board of Trustees at Eastern Long Island Hospital; will discuss the affiliation between the two hospitals.

Some of the topics that will be discussed at the forum include:

• Long term goals: addressing the evolving healthcare needs of the community
• Bringing care to the patient: coordinated subspecialty care close to home
• Technology and infrastructure: building up the Eastern Long Island Hospital campus

The forum is open to the public.
