Peconic Landing to Host Annual End of Summer Celebration, Fireworks Show
The event will take place this weekend.

Peconic Landing will be hosting its annual End of Summer Celebration and fireworks show for the fourth consecutive year this weekend.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, August 30 starting at 7 p.m. with a live performance by the forty- member Atlantic Wind Symphony, which is comprised of musicians from across Long Island, on the patio at Brecknock Hall located at 1 Brecknock Road in Greenport.
The concert will feature songs by George Gershwin, John Philip Sousa as well as well-known Broadway hitsThe event is free to all and attracts more than 700 guests each year.

It will also include a salute to Veterans and current service members.
The performance is sponsored by the Brecknock Hall Foundation, which has a mission of maintaining the beautification and preservation of the historic mansion.

Fireworks will begin about 8:15 p.m., launching over Peconic Landing’s community pond, located at 1500 Brecknock Road.
Guests are asked to bring a blanket and chairs to make the most of the event.
The 20-minute fireworks show is sponsored by Peconic Landing.
“What started out as a commemorative event has now turned in to an annual community celebration,” Robert J. Syron, President and CEO of Peconic Landing said. “We look forward to celebrating with the North Fork community.”
A rain date is scheduled for September 6 at 7 p.m.
