Peconic Landing Ranked Among 'Best Companies to Work For'

Peconic Landing was recently named 6th best company to work for in the small/medium size business category by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management.

The news was announced during the eighth annual “2015 Best Companies to Work for in New York” awards ceremony which was held in May honoring 65 companies across both small/medium and large categories.

Peconic Landing falls in the small/medium category with 220 employees.

The evalulation for best company to work for was based on feedback directly from employees via an online engagement and satisfaction survey as well as submission of a questionnaire about the company’s benefit offerings and policies.

“Peconic Landing truly values its team members as they are the greatest asset we have in achieving our mission,” Robert J. Syron, president/CEO said. “We strive to make Peconic Landing an outstanding place to work and to give back to the employees who give so much of themselves to our members.”

To celebrate and thank the members of the Peconic Landing team, the management organized a backyard barbeque to serve employees lunch, complete with an ice cream sundae station.

Teresa Pogorzelska, who has been with the organization since it began, called her position “very rewarding.”

She has worked in housekeeping for the past 13 years.

“I like my job, I like working with people. I like helping people,” Pogorzelska said. “The company, it is fair. The benefits are good and I’m happy. I also like to help train the new employees and teach them the tricks of the trade.”
