Police Catch Man Who Fired Shotgun, Fled Scene: Police

The gunshots were fired on Jacobs Lane, police said.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Southold man who fired a shotgun and fled the scene in a residential neighborhood was caught and cuffed Tuesday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Michael W. Bradford, 42, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. on Jacob's Lane, the scene of the alleged shooting, and charged with one count of third degree criminal mischief, a felony, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and prohibited use of a weapon, a misdemeanor, police said.

Southold Police and officers from the New York State Division of Parole arrested Bradford, currently on parole, police said, after an incident at the Jacobs Lane home on the morning of July 20, when a female occupant of the residence called Bradford's parole officer to report an incident involving the discharge of a shotgun, police said.
