Police: Drunk Greenport Woman Crashes Car Into House, Resists Arrest

The incident occurred on Tuesday night, police say.

A Greenport woman was arrested after she drove drunk, crashed her car into a house and resisted arrest in Greenport on Tuesday night, according to Southold Town Police.

Dawn Cone, 47, was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which her car struck a house on Main Road at about 10:30 p.m., police said.

An investigation into the incident found Cone to be intoxicated, according to police.

She was arrested after a short struggle with officers and was transported to Southold Town Police Department headquarters for processing, police said.

She was charged with DWI, resisting arrest, and second degree harassment, police said.

Cone was held for arraignment at the Southold Town Justice court.
