Police: Drunk Man Drives Wrong Way Down One Way Street

A West Babylon man was arrested on a DWI charge after driving the wrong way down a one way street in Greenport on Saturday night, according to Southold Town Police.

Dean E. Miller, 49, was seen driving down the opposite way down South Street at about 9:21 p.m., police said.

He had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, slurred speech, blood-shot glassy eyes and was unsteady on his feet, police said.

He also failed the standardized field sobriety tests, according to police.

He was arrested and held for morning arraignment.
