Police Find Missing 91-Year-Old Man With Dementia in Mattituck
The man was reported missing between Saturday night and Sunday morning before he was found, police say.
A 91-year-old man with dementia briefly went missing before he was found by police in Mattituck on Sunday morning, according to Southold Town Police.
Police received a report of a missing elderly man with dementia who wandered away from his home sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday night and 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, according to police.
Southold Police patrol units assisted by Southold K-9, Bay Constables and a Suffolk Police helicopter conducted a search of the Brower’s Woods section of Mattituck and the surrounding waterways, according to police.

The man was found in good condition at a neighbor’s house on Westview Drive after a door to door search at about 9:46 a.m., police said.
