Police: Man Arrested After Domestic Dispute at Mattituck Motel

A Mattituck man was arrested after he was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman at the Mattituck Motel on Bay Avenue, on Tuesday evening, according to Southold Town Police.

John Moore, 47, had grabbed the woman, who has not been identified, by the neck and slammed her head into a nightstand, police said.

He violated an order of protection and was arrested for first degree criminal contempt and second degree harassment, police said.

Moore was held overnight for court.
