Police: Man Crashes Into Utility Pole While Under Influence of Drugs
Southold Police arrested Brendan Vibert who was driving while under the influence of drugs and hit a utility pole, causing a power outage.

An East Marion man crashed into a utility pole while driving under the influence of drugs causing a power outage in Mattituck for a short period, according to police.
Southold Police responded to reports of an erratic driver on Route 48 on Saturday, Sept. 20. The driver hit the utility pole before being pulled over by an officer.
Brendan Vibert was found to be impaired by drugs and was found to be in possession of heroin, suboxone, marijuana and Xanax pills, according to Southold Police.

Vibert was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana while a passenger in the car was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
