Police: Motorcyclist Charged With DWI in Mattituck
The drunk motorcyclist was seen driving without helmet on Friday night, police say.

An unidentified motorcyclist was charged with a DWI in Mattituck on Friday night, according to Southold Town Police.
The man was seen riding a motorcycle without a helmet on, failing to signal a turn and failing to stop at a stop sign, according to police.
He was stopped on Pike Street and Wickham Avenue at about 11:30 p.m., according to police.

He had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, slurred speech, blood-shot glassy eyes and was unsteady on his feet, police said.
He also failed the standardized sobriety tests, police said.

He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving without a helmet on, failing to stop for stop sign, no signal and other traffic offenses and held for morning arraignment, according to police.
Police have not released the identity of the motorcyclist.
