Police: Peconic Man Arrested For Driving Drunk Without a License

The man was arrested on Route 48 and Depot Lane.

A Peconic man was arrested on a DWI charge in Cutchogue early Monday morning, according to Southold Town Police.

Alvaro Uyu-Puluc, 21, was travelling North on Depot Lane at about 2:30 a.m. in Cutchogue when he was stopped for failing to maintain his lane of travel and failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Route 48 and Depot Lane, police said.

Upon investigation Uyu-Puluc was found to be intoxicated, police said.

He was also found to be operating without a driver’s license, according to police.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.
