Police Pursuit In Orient, Woman Kicks Officer: Cops

She was released after posting $90 bail, police say.

ORIENT, NY —A woman was arrested early Friday after she tried to flee police and then kicked an officer twice, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Cynthia Warshawsky, 54, of Albertson, NY was arrested at 12:18 a.m. on Route 25 in Orient .

While attempting to stop Warshawsky for a traffic infraction she fled the scene and a police pursuit ensued, authorities said.

The pursuit was terminated after she was found at the Orient Point ferry; while exiting her vehicle, she kicked an officer two times, police said.

Warshawsky was arrested, transported to Southold Town Police headquarters and released on $90 bail, police said.
