Police: Two Clerks Arrested For Selling Alcohol To Minors
A clerk at a 7-11 in Riverhead and a clerk at Alpine Liqours in Wading River were arrested for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.

The New York State Police Barracks in Riverside conducted an Underage Drinker Enforcement Operation in Riverhead and Wading River on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
During the operation two retail establishments were cited for selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover State Police operative.
Mecit Celik, 22, of Shirley, a clerk at the 7-11 on 1050 Old Country Rd in Riverhead and Thomas J. Flores, 34, of Coram a clerk at Alpine Liquors on 6249 Route 25A in Wading River were arrested and charged with unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.

Both subjects were issued appearance tickets returnable to Riverhead Town Court.
The following 14 establishments were also targeted in Riverhead and were found to be in compliance;
