Police: Woman Hospitalized After Cutchogue Crash
The car crashed into the median and overturned on Route 48, police say.
A woman was hospitalized after crashing into a median on Route 48 in Cutcogue last Monday afternoon, according to Southold Town Police.
The woman’s car drifted off the roadway as she was going eastbound on Route 48 at about 2:11 p.m., police said.
After going off the roadway the car went into the median/ditch just east of Bridge Lane where it overturned several times until coming to rest on the westbound lanes, police said.

She was transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for evaluation, according to police.
