Roy A Schelin Jr consistently shared a right-on-attitude. I remember seeing him on-board a North Fork Sanitation truck always realizing that Roy spread joy. He also was a member of the Southold Fire Department.
According to the JULY 29th, 2019 NORTHFORKER {which is part of The Suffolk Times} "Southold-Greenport Rotary Lobsterfest returns for a 28th year"
Founder's Landing was the place to be that previous Saturday as the Southold and Greenport Rotary Club's Annual Lobsterfest event raises money for a variety of projects benefiting both Rotary Clubs. ~ Guests get a choice of lobster or steak with sides of steamed mussels, baked potato, corn on the cob, cole slaw and watermelon. And there’s hamburgers and hot dogs for children. That year, the NORTHFORKER's Elizabeth Wagner snapped Southold’s Roy Schelin, Jr., and daughter Katie Masterson preparing to crack open their lobsters.

"Owner/Operator of North Fork Sanitation Roy A. Schelin Jr. died April 19, 2023. He was 54.
The family will receive visitors Monday, April 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Southold Fire Department firematic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Greenport, with Pastor Garrett Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Sterling Cemetery in Greenport.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or Southold Fire Department."
