Riverhead’s Peter Lagnena Named to Newsday’s Top Boys Basketball Players
Senior's Three-Point Shooting Continues to Impress

RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK—Riverhead High School senior Peter Lagnena was recently named to Newsday’s list of the top 100 Long Island high school boys basketball players for the 2025-2026 season. The 6’2” guard and forward hit an impressive 70 threes and averaged 12.1 points per game as a junior.
“Peter earned all-league honors in the 2024-2025 season,” said Riverhead High School boys basketball head coach Patrick Fabian. “He is averaging 13 points per game and three three-pointers per game this season.”
Peter worked diligently in the offseason on elevating his game for his senior year. He especially focused on enhancing his ability to contribute defensively and on the glass.
