Rollover Crash Shuts Down North Fork Roadway: Police

A utility pole was knocked over, with downed lines on the vehicle, police say.

MATTITUCK, NY — A driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a rollover crash left him entrapped in his vehicle Friday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at 3:36 p.m.on Route 25 and Maple Avenue in Mattituck.

Officers found a downed utility pole with power lines on the overturned 2012 Honda Accord, police said.

New York State Route 25 was shut down in both directions while emergency care was provided to the driver, Connor Liddell, who was the only person in the vehicle — police did not provide further information on his age or place of residence.

He was extracted from the vehicle with the help of Mattituck Fire Department personnel and taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

No charges were filed in the crash, police said.
