Gunshots Fired At Riverhead Apartment Complex: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — Gunshots were fired at a Riverhead apartment complex Friday night, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, at 10:35 p.m., several calls came in from residents of the River Pointe apartment complex, located on East Main Street. Callers were reporting the sounds of several gunshots in the area, police said.

Police determined that shots had been fired in the western part of the complex and that a motor vehicle in the parking lot had been damaged by gunfire, authorities said.

No injuries were reported, police said.
