Scouts, Neighbors Pay Tribute At Memorial Day Service: Photos

GREENPORT, NY — Under sunny blue skies, a sea of Scouts and community members joined together and headed toward the railroad dock in Greenport on Memorial Day for a somber and meaningful service to pay heartfelt tribute to heroes who've made the greatest sacrifice.

The annual parade and dockside service included Scouts, Honor Guard, and elected officials, who headed down Front Street and to the dock for a service, where flowers were tossed into the water in remembrance and wreaths lad, instilling even in the youngest children the importance of paying tribute to the true meaning of Memorial Day.
