Search On For Person Who Caused $66K In Damage To Parkland
More than an acre of trees and vegetation in Shelter Island were damaged, to the tune of $66,000, police say.

SHELTER ISLAND, NY — The search is on for whoever damaged parkland on Shelter Island to the tune of $66,000, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Shelter Island Police Department, in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who damaged the parkland in the Hay Beach section of Shelter Island, near Menhaden Lane, last year, police said.
More than an acre of trees and vegetation were damaged sometime between January 7 and January 8, 2018, police said
