Shelter Dog Still Waiting For New Life, New Home In New Year
Although Christmas came and went for Fynn, shelter staff are praying he'll find a new home for the new year.

NORTH FORK, NY — One shelter dog's special wish for Santa — to find his forever home — sadly, did not come true.
"He did not find a home for Christmas, but we still hope he will have a home before the new year," said said Gabrielle Stroup, director of operations of the League in Peconic and Aquebogue.
Fynn, she said, came to the shelter with an old injury to his spine.

"He screamed in pain," she said. "We placed him in one of our best foster homes. It took months, but his foster mom was able to heal him."
Fynn is a senior Lab mix, house-trained and is good with most other dogs, she said. "He's mellow and well-mannered. He’s still with his foster mom— but he needs a forever home."
