With Snow Coming, Town Announces Shelter Openings Thursday
All Southold Town facilities will be closed Thursday but shelters will be open, Souhtold Town Supervisor Scott Russell says.

SOUTHOLD, NY — With a winter storm warning issued for Suffolk County, Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell announced that all town facilities, including recreational programs and the transfer station, will be closed to the public on Thursday.
All use of roads should be restricted to essential travel needs only, Russell said.
Vehicles should be removed from public roads and not parked in the public right-of-way. "Highway department crews will be out to keep our roads clear and safe and should not have their efforts hindered by obstructions," a release said.
