Solutions For Dangerous Mattituck Intersection Discussed Monday
The public is invited to weigh in on 3 plans at a meeting of the Mattituck-Laurel Civic Association Monday.

MATTITUCK, NY — The public is invited to speak out and let their opinions be heard on what's considered to be a dangerous intersection in Mattituck.
The Mattituck-Laurel Civic Association will host a discussion Monday, Jan. 29 on 3 options proposed for the intersection of Main Road, Love Lane and Old Sound Avenue.
The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, located at 12605 Main Road.

The 3 options to be spotlighted were developed over the last 2 years based on MLCA’s outreach, the community’s input, and Southold Town’s engineering study, organizers said.
"The community feedback you provide on Jan. 29 will inform the town’s efforts to reduce the danger of this bad intersection while accommodating pedestrians and enhancing the 'neighborhood' pace of Love Lane and Old Sound Avenue," the MLCA said.
