Southold/Greenport Robotics Team 870 WON a regional contest~April 19-22, 2023, the Team was involved in a World Championship Competition

Southold/Greenport Robotics Team 870 Robotics team won a regional contest winning first place in a Long Island Regional No. 2 competition held at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Center located at Hofstra University. CONGRATULATIONS as the group participated in the Robotics World Championship Competition at George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, April 19 to 22, 2023.
Driver Declan Crowley is 17-years-old, a senior, and the club’s president. Sofia Gillan is a 16-year-old junior who is the club’s vice president and drive coach. Controller Brian Schill is a 16-year-old junior. Christine Schade is Southold robotics faculty co-advisor.

Team RICE 870 wristbands were availABle at Founders Tavern, Southold Pharmacy, Country Corner Luncheonette, Polywoda Beverage.
STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) were a huge focus for Team RICE 870.
Team RICE (Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Equity) 870 won Einstein Rounds -{&}- an award for Second Place in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) World Robotics Championship.
