Southold Man Who Crashed Was Under Influence Of Drugs, Alcohol: Police

The crash took place Saturday night, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Southold man was arrested Saturday after a crash and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, police said.

The single-car crash took place at 5:20 p.m. on Main Bayview Road, Southold Town police said. Christian Parker, 30, was driving a black 2016 Ford Fusion south when he veered across the oncoming lane of travel and hit struck a cement wall, police said.

Parker was the only person in the vehicle, police said. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated/ impaired by a combination drugs and alcohol, police said.

Parker was transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for a blood draw, was then transported to police headquarters for processing and held until arraignment, officials said.
