Southold School Budget Vote Passes By Overwhelming Majority
The public turned out to cast their ballots Tuesday.
SOUTHOLD, NY — The community turned out to support Southold students in a big way Tuesday.
The Southold Union Free District's 2022 to 2023 budget passed by an overwhelming margin of 360 to 55.
The Southold Library vote also passed, 367 to 48.

The $32.2 million budget reflects a 1.9 percent increase and a tax levy increase of 1.71 percent, which is under the tax cap, the district said.
Incumbent Board of Education member Judi Fouchet ran unopposed for one open seat and received 376 votes.
