Southold Woman Escapes After Driving Car Into Water at Founders Landing
The woman was the only person in the car, police said.
A Southold woman escaped after she drove her car into the water at Founders Landing on Monday evening, according to Southold Town Police.
Police received an anonymous report of a car being driven off the roadway into the water at about 5:30 p.m.
Julisa Coria, 20, was able to exit her car and get to shore, police said.

Southold rescue responded and transported Coria to Eastern Long Island Hospital for evaluation, according to police.
The Southold Fire Department deployed a diver to ensure that there were no other occupants in the car, which sank about 50 feet from the end of the launching ramp, fire officials said.

Coria was found to have been the only person in the car, police said.
Rapid Recovery responded, towed the car from the water and to their shop.
